Who We Are

Timer-ing is an offline-first focus and time-tracking workspace made by REREAL, an independent developer project. Our website is timer-ing.vercel.app.

The Short Version

Your focus sessions, timer data, and activity history are stored locally on your device first. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. If you sign in with Google, your data can optionally be backed up to the cloud for sync across devices.

What Data We Collect

• If you use as Guest (no account): No personal data is collected. All data stays on your device in your browser or desktop app storage.
• If you sign in with Google: We receive your email address, name, and profile photo from Google. We use this solely to identify your account and link your data across devices.
• Session & activity data: Your timer sessions, activity names, durations, and dates. This is the core data of the app. It lives locally and is optionally synced to our cloud database (Supabase).
• Group data: If you join or create a study group, your chosen display name, session times, and contribution stats are visible to other group members.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.
• We do not record keystrokes, screen content, or microphone/camera input.
• We do not share or sell your data to any third party.
• We do not track your behavior across other websites.

How We Use Your Data

• To display your personal analytics, history, and focus stats.
• To sync your data across devices when you are signed in.
• To enable group study features when you participate in a study group.

Data Storage & Retention

Local data (IndexedDB / SQLite) is stored on your device and is never sent to us unless you are signed in. Cloud data is stored in Supabase (hosted in the EU). We retain your cloud data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all cloud data is permanently and immediately deleted.

Your Rights

• You can export all your data at any time from Settings → Data & Storage.
• You can delete all local data at any time from Settings → Data & Storage → Clear all data.
• You can delete your account and all associated cloud data from Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session token). We do not use marketing, tracking, or analytics cookies.
